Admetus.

To Attendants.
Lead ye her, if mine halls must needs receive. 1110

Herakles.

Not to thy servants' hands will I commit her.

Admetus.

Thou lead her in then, if it seems thee good.

Herakles.

Nay, but in thine hands will I place her—thine.

Admetus.

I will not touch her!—Open stand my doors.

Herakles.

Unto thy right hand only trust I her. 1115

Admetus.

O king, thou forcest me: I will not this!

Herakles.

Be strong: stretch forth thine hand and touch thy guest.

Admetus.

I stretch it forth, as to a headless Gorgon.

Herakles.

Hast her?

Admetus.

I have.
