ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND REGULATION (INCLUDING RESCISSION) For an additional amount for 'Economic development and regulation", $6,361,000: Provided, That of the funds appropriated under tills heading for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1992 in the District of Columbia Appropriations Act, 1992, approved October 1, 1991 (Public Law 102-111; 105 Stat. 561), $5,094,000 are rescinded for a net increase of $1,267,000. PuBuc SAFETY AND JUSTICE (INCLUDING RESCISSION) For an additional amount for Tublic safety and jiistice", $114,000: Provided, That of the funds appropriated under this heading for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1992 in the District of Colimibia Appropriations Act, 1992, approved October 1, 1991 (Public Law 102-111; 105 Stat. 561), $22,356,000 are rescinded for a net decrease of $22,242,000; Provided further. That of the funds remaining for the personal services of the Metropolitan Police Department, $1,000,000 shall be redirected to non-personal services of the Dep£urtment for equipment purchases and contractual services: Provided further, That not to exceed $700,000 shall be available from this appropriation, and funds under this heading in Public Law 102-111 (105 Stat. 561) for the Chief of Police for the prevention and detection of crime. PuBuc EDUCATION SYSTEM (INCLUDING RESCISSION) For an additional amount for "Public education system", $300,000, of which $260,000 is for the public schools of the District of Columbia and $40,000 is for pay-as-you-go capital projects for the public schools: Provided, That of the funds appropriated under this heading for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1992 in the District of Columbia Appropriations Act, 1992, approved October 1, 1991 (Public Uw 102-111; 105 Stat. 563), $48,000 for the Education Licensure Commission are rescinded for a net increase of $252,000.
