(a) A U T H ORI Z ATIO N .—The President is authorized and requested to award the Medal of Honor under section 3741 of title 1 0 , U nited States Code, posthumously to Private George D. Wilson of Company B , 2nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment for the acts of valor described in subsection (b). (b) ACTS OF VALOR DESCRIBED.—The acts of valor referred to in subsection (a) are the actions of George D. Wilson as one of Andrews’ Raiders during the Civil War on April 12, 1862. CONTINUATION OF AUTHORIT Y TO ASSIST LOCAL EDU - CATIONAL AGENCIES THAT B ENEFIT DEPENDENTS OF MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES AND DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES. (a) ASSISTANCE TO SCHOOLS WITH SI G NIFICANT N U M BERS OF MILITAR Y DE P ENDENT STUDENTS.—Of the amount authorized to be appropriated pursuant to section 301( 5 ) for operation and mainte- nance for Defense-wide activities, $ 30,000,000 shall be available only for the purpose of providing assistance to local educational agencies under subsection (a) of section 572 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Y ear 2006 (Public L aw 10 9– 163

119 Stat. 3271; 20 U.S.C. 7703b). (b) ASSISTANCE TO SCHOOLS WITH E NROLLMENT CHANGES DUE TO BASE CLOSURES, FORCE STRUCTURE CHANGES, OR FORCE RELOCATIONS.—Of the amount authorized to be appropriated pursu- ant to section 301(5) for operation and maintenance for Defense- wide activities, $10,000,000 shall be available only for the purpose of providing assistance to local educational agencies under sub- section (b) of such section 572. (c) LOCAL EDUCATIONAL AGENCY DEFINED.—In this section, the term ‘ ‘local educational agency’’ has the meaning given that term in section 8013(9) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 7713(9)). SEC. 57 2 . IMPACT AID FOR CHILDREN WITH SEVERE DISABILITIES. Of the amount authorized to be appropriated pursuant to sec- tion 301(5) for operation and maintenance for Defense-wide activi- ties, $5,000,000 shall be available for payments under section 363 of the Floyd D. Spence National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2001 (as enacted into law by Public Law 106–398; 114 Stat. 1654A–77; 20 U.S.C. 7703a).
