Section 42 09 of the Atomic E nergy Defense Act ( 5 0 U .S.C. 2529) is amended— (1) in subsection (c), by striking ‘‘necessary—’’ and all that follows through the period and inserting ‘‘necessary to address proliferation concerns.’’; and (2) in subsection (d)— (A) by striking paragraph (1); and (B) by redesignating paragraphs (2) and (3) as para- graphs (1) and (2), respectively.
