(E) An evaluation of the appropriate role of contractors in carrying out police training and equipping programs, and what modifications, if any, are needed to improve oversight of such contractors. (F) Recommendations for legislative modifications, if any, to existing authorities relating to police training and equipping programs. (d) APPROPRIATE COMMITTEES OF CONGRESS DEFINED.—In this section, the term ‘‘appropriate committees of Congress’’ means— (1) the Committees on Armed Services, Foreign Relations, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and Appropria- tions of the Senate; and (2) the Committees on Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, Oversight and Government Reform, and Appropriations of the House of Representatives. SEC. 1236. REPORT ON CERTAIN IRAQIS AFFILIATED WITH THE UNITED STATES. (a) IN GENERAL.—Not later than 120 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of State, the Attorney General, the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, and the heads of other appropriate Federal agencies (as determined by the Secretary of Defense), shall submit to the Congress a report containing the information described in subsection (b). In preparing such report, the Secretary of Defense shall use available information from organizations and entities closely associated with the United States mission in Iraq that have received United States Government funding through an official and documented contract, award, grant, or cooperative agreement. (b) INFORMATION.—The information described in this subsection is the following: (1) The number of Iraqis who were or are employed by the United States Government in Iraq or who are or were employed in Iraq by an organization or entity closely associated with the United States mission in Iraq that has received United States Government funding through an official and documented contract, award, grant, or cooperative agreement. (2) The number of Iraqis who have applied— (A) for resettlement in the United States as a refugee under section 1243 of the Refugee Crisis in Iraq Act of 2007 (subtitle C of title XII of division A of Public Law 110–181; 122 Stat. 395 et seq.); (B) to enter the United States as a special immigrant under section 1244 of such Act; or (C) to enter the United States as a special immigrant under section 1059 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2006 (Public Law 109–163; 8 U.S.C. 1101 note). (3) The status of each application described in paragraph (2).
