IN pursuance of the power granted by Article XXI. of the convention -4***% P· 787- of December 15, 1848, between the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, to the two Post—Offices to settle the matters of detail, which are to be arranged by mutual consent, for ensuring the execution of the stipulations contained in the said convention, the undersigned, duly authorized for that purpose by their respective offices, have agreed upon the following articles :—— _ Amicnn I. There shall be established on the part of the United New omce of Kingdom a new office of exchange at Glasgow, which shall exchange ‘2.3;;‘*‘;‘§° ’·l‘ mails with the United States offices of Portland, Chicago, Detroit, B0s· E ` ton, and New York, by means of Canadian mail packets. Amicus II.
