Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the In- Caroline Lwifcr. terior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the P°”°‘°“· pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension ` laws, the name of Caroline Lauder, widow of Jacob Lauffer, late of Company C, Sixth Connecticut Volunteers. Approved, June 12, 1884. CHAP. 89.—An act granting a pension to George Overmire Jung 12, 1884, Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in_Cm•gress assembled, That the Secretary of the In- purge Overterior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the m¤'°· pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension P°"“i°"‘ laws, the name of George Overmire, formerly captain of Company F, Thirtieth Regiment Illinois Volunteers, and pay him a pension as of the rank of Captain in lieu of the pension allowed him, under the general pension law, of the rank of sergeant of said company and regiment from the date of the passage of this act. Approved, June 12, 1884. CHAP. 90.-An not for the relief of I. L. Burchard J¤¤¤ 19, 1884- Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of Anerioa in Congress assembled, That the proper accounting }i°,{&,Bl·*'°h"‘l· officers of the Treasury, in the settlement of the accounts of I. L. ° Burchard, late Indian agent of Bound Valley Indian Reservation, in the . State of California, are hereby authorized to adjust and settle the same upon the principles of justice and equity, and to award him credit for disbursements honestly made, and for payments made in good faith where such payments have inured to the benefit of the Government or the Indians.
