Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives concurring), That M=¥4·1¤°6· the Joint Committee on the Library of the House of Representatives and of the Senate be authorized to sit in Washington, D. C., during the §§,‘§§§i Jgfjf recess of Congress, for the purpose of inquiring into the condition of invvstigqgo :iur°Z°p¤r°l the Library of Congress and to report upon the same at the next ses- °“°*g““"““°"*°‘°· sion of Congress, with such recommendations as may be deemed advisable; also to report a plan for the organization, custody, and management of the new Library building and the Library of Congress. The said Joint Committee is also authorized to employ a stenographer whenever necessary during the course of the inquiry. The necessary expenses of the sittings of the said Joint Committee, including the pay of the stenographer, are to paid out of the contingent funds of the House of Representatives and Senate, on vouchers approved by the Chairman of said Joint Committee: Provided, That the expenses incurred under this concurrent resolution be reported to the second session of this Congress.
