D,£*1;$**“°*Y¤*°=¤¤d For general maintenance of yards and docks, namely: For freight, M‘“"°°“‘“°°‘ transportation of materials and stores; books, maps, models, and drawing; purchase and repair of fire engines; fire ap ratus and lants; machinery; purchase and maintenance of oxen, hcdrses, and dlfiving teams; carts, timber wheels, and all vehicles for use in the navy-yards; tools and repairs of the same; postage on letters and other mailable matter on public service sent to foreign countries, and telegrams; stationery; furniture for Government houses and offices in navy-yards and for the Bureau of Yards and Docks; coal and other fuel, candles, oil, and gas; attendance on light and power lants; cleaning and clearing up yards and care of buildings; attendance on fires, lights, fire engines, and hre ap ratus and plants; incidental labor at nav -yards; water tax, tolls, angierriage; pay of watchmen in navy-yards; awnings and packing boxes, and advertising for yards and docks and other purposes; and for rent of wharf and storehouse at Erie., Pennsylvania. or use and accommodation of United States steamer Michigan, fifty- two thousand dollars. To pay amounts found due by the accounting officers of the Treasury on account of the appropriation "Maintenance, Bureau of Yards and Docks," for the Esca year nineteen hundred and one, two thousand and iif‘ty-six dollars and thirty-two cents. ' For surgeons? necessaries for vessels in commission, navy-yards, dg¤*8¤<>¤¤’ ¤~*<>¢¤¤·» naval stations, Marine Corps, and Coast Survey, and for the civil ` establishment at the several naval hospitals, navy-vards, naval laboratory, and department of instruction, museum of hygiene, and Naval Academy, thirty thousand dollars.
