The Sta te shall improve and maint ain the said land for such purpose, and not otherwise, and shall provide adequate conveniences for the public . No fee or other charge shall ever be imposed or exacted for admission of the public to the park or for use and enjoy- ment of the park by the public under such reasonable regulations as may be prescribe d by the S tate or it s authoriz ed officia ls . The State shall sedulously safeguard the wildlife in the park from molestation and destruction, and shall do everything reasonably necessary to safeguard the park from injury by fire, or otherwise, and shall prese rve the t imber an d other n atural gr owth in the park fr om depredation and destruction . In the event the State shall fail to maint ain the a foresaid granted land as a State p ark under the con ditio ns an d lim itati ons h erein pres cribe d, or upon aban donme nt of the park by the State, said land and all improvements thereon shall revert to the United States . [CH APTE R 503 .1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House o f Representatives o f the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the Secre tary of War is hereby authorized and directed to cause a preliminary examination to be made of Big Blue River, an affluent of the Kansas River, and its tributaries with a view to the control of their floods in accordance with the provisions of section 3 of an Act entitle d "An Act to provide for the control of the floods of the Mississippi River and of the Sacra mento Riv er, C alifo rnia, and for o ther purpo ses", approved March 1, 1917, the cost thereof to be paid from appropria- tion s her etofo re or here after made for exami natio ns, s urvey s, and contingencies of rivers and harbors .
