INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS OTHER THAN TREATIES [57 STAT. be paid to the officer before his departure from the Republic of Guatemala, and such payment shall be computed for travel by the shortest usually traveled route to the port of entry in the United States of America, regardless of the route and method of travel used by him. ARTICLE 21. The officer and his family shall be provided by the Government of the Republic of Guatemala with first-class accom- modations for travel required and performed under this Agreement between the port of embarkation from the United States of America and his official residence in the Republic of Guatemala, both for the outward and for the return trip. The expenses of transpor- tation by land and sea of the officer's household effects and bag- gage, including automobile, from the port of embarkation in the United States of America to the Republic of Guatemala and re- turn, shall also be paid by the Government of the Republic of Guatemala. These expenses shall include all necessary costs inci- dental to unloading from the steamer upon arrival in the Re- public of Guatemala, cartage from the ship to the officer's residence in the Republic of Guatemala, and packing and loading on board the steamer upon departure from the Republic of Guatemala upon ter- mination of services. The trans- portation of such household effects, baggage, and automobile shall be made in a single shipment, and all subsequent shipments shall be at the expense of the officer, except when such shipments are necessi- tated by circumstances beyond his control. la licencia acumulada se le pagara al oficial antes de su partida de la Republica de Guatemala, y tal pago se calculara como si el viaje se hiciera por la ruta mas corta que generalmente se sigue hasta el puerto de entrada en los Estados Unidos de America, no importa qu6 ruta y que sistema de trans- porte utilice el oficial. ARTfCULO 21. El Gobierno de la Republica de Guatemala pro- porcionara al oficial y a su familia pasajes de primera clase para el viaje que se requiera y se efectfie de conformidad con este Acuerdo entre el puerto de embarque de los Estados Unidos de America y su residencia oficial en la Republica de Guatemala, tanto para el viaje de ida como para el de regreso. Los gastos de transporte por mar y tierra de los efectos domesticos y del equipaje del oficial, in- clusive un autom6vil, del puerto de embarque de los Estados Unidos de America a la Republica de Guatemala y regreso, correran tambi6n por cuenta del Gobierno de la Repuiblica de Guatemala. Estos gastos incluiran todos los gastos necesarios relacionados con la descarga de a bordo del vapor a su llegada a la Republica de Guatemala,los del transporte desde el vapor hasta la residencia del oficial en la Republica de Guate- mala, y los de embalaje y carga a bordo del vapor a su partida de la Repiblica de Guatemala una vez que hayan terminado sus servicios.
