AMBASSADOR: I have the honor to reply to Your Excellency's courteous note No. 278 of December 4 last, in which you are good enough to inform me Ante, p . 3326. that on that date the Memorandum of Agreement, the text of which is transcribed hereinafter, was signed at Lima by Colonel Arthur R. Harris and Mr. Luis Rose Ugarte, Minister of Agriculture: [For the English language text of the Memorandum of Agreement, see pp. 3327-3332.] In reply, I must inform Your Excellency that, by Supreme Resolu- tion No. 1219, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture on December 30 last, the Memorandum of Agreement transcribed in this note was approved. Accordingly, this note, together with that of Your Excellency, concludes the above-mentioned Agreement between the Governments of Peru and the United States of America, which Agreement will ex- pire on June 30, 1948.
