(2) by striking the period at the end of paragraph (4) and inserting in lieu thereof "; and"; and (8) by adding at the end of such subsection a new jjaragraph as follows: '*(5) to further extend the maturity of or renew any loan made pursuant to this section, beyond the periods stated therein, or any loan transferred to the Administration pursuant to Reorganization Plan Numbered '2 of 1954, for additional periods not to exceed ten years, if such extension or renewal will aid in the orderly liquidation of such loan.'" (b) Subsection (f) of section 207 of such Act is hereby repealed. Approved February 2, 1956.

AN ACT To increase the fee for executing an application for a passport.

Be If etKicted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the first proviso of section numbered 1 of the Act entitled "An Act making an appropriation for the Diplomatic and Consular Service for the fiscal year ending June 30, 192r-, approved June 4, 1920 (22 U.S.C. sec. 214), is amended by striking out "the retention by" and "of the fee of $1" and by inserting after the word "officials" the following language: to collect and retain the sum of $2 as the fee. AN ACT Authorizing the completion of the initial stage of development for flood control and other purposes in the Russian River Basin, California.

Be it enacted by the Seriate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assemMed^ That in addition to the authorization of $11,522,000 for accomplishment of the initial stage of the plan for flood control and other purposes in the Russian River I^asin, California, authorized by the Flood Control Act of 1950, there is hereby authorized the completion of the initial stage at an estimated additional cost of $1,1()5,000. SFX'. 2. There are hereby authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act. Approved February 10, 1956. Public Law 405
