ToC formatting

[edit]

My edits to the table were reverted (diff) with the explanation, "revert - deliberate choice on my part not to link page numbers and not to use dotted TOC page template". What are the bases of these choices? Thanks, djr13 (talk) 04:32, 13 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

The TOC here is so small and simple that it doesn't need the extras of the page numbers and dotted leaders. That said, I've never seen the need to use {{DJVU page link}} because the pagelist command works just as well. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 08:24, 13 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
You're probably right as far as matching the few ToC listings to their pages on the pagelist goes. I personally prefer using the dotted list when the source uses them, but it seems the choice is indeed up to whoever does the initial formatting. (Also, I realized after changing to the dotted list, that {{Dotted TOC page listing}} actually has {{DJVU page link}} built in.) Thanks for explaining, djr13 (talk) 14:04, 13 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
