@Shenme: I'm pretty sure "Jno." is an archaic "abbreviation" for "John." I've seen it many places. Odd to think of it as an abbreviation, since it's literally the same number of characters (if you count the period)...and I have no idea why they'd reverse the order of the 'o' and the 'n'. Nevertheless, I've seen it in many works. (I also just encountered "Jas. B. Stephens" as an abbreviation for "James" -- not "Jason.") -Pete (talk) 01:04, 21 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
