| In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful. | Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi | |
| 071:001 | We have sent Noah to his people: "Warn your people before a painful retribution comes to them." | Inna arsalna noohan ila qawmihi an anthir qawmaka min qabli an ya/tiyahum AAathabun aleemun |
| 071:002 | He said: "My people, I am to you a clear warner." | Qala ya qawmi innee lakum natheerun mubeenun |
| 071:003 | "That you shall serve God and be aware of Him and obey." | Ani oAAbudoo Allaha waittaqoohu waateeAAooni |
| 071:004 | "He shall forgive your sins and delay you to a predetermined time. When God's time comes, then it cannot be delayed, if you know." | Yaghfir lakum min thunoobikum wayu-akhkhirkum ila ajalin musamman inna ajala Allahi itha jaa la yu-akhkharu law kuntum taAAlamoona |
| 071:005 | He said: "My Lord, I have called on my people night and day." | Qala rabbi innee daAAawtu qawmee laylan wanaharan |
| 071:006 | "But my calling only drove them away!" | Falam yazidhum duAAa-ee illa firaran |
| 071:007 | "And every time I called on them so that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and they covered their heads with their outer garments and they insisted, and they became greatly arrogant." | Wa-innee kullama daAAawtuhum litaghfira lahum jaAAaloo asabiAAahum fee athanihim waistaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo waistakbaroo istikbaran |
| 071:008 | "Then I called to them openly." | Thumma innee daAAawtuhum jiharan |
| 071:009 | "Then I announced to them, and I spoke to them in secret." | Thumma innee aAAlantu lahum waasrartu lahum israran |
| 071:010 | "And I said: Seek forgiveness from your Lord, for He was forgiving." | Faqultu istaghfiroo rabbakum innahu kana ghaffaran |
| 071:011 | "He sends the clouds upon you constantly." | Yursili alssamaa AAalaykum midraran |
| 071:012 | "And He provides you with money and children, and He makes for you gardens, and He makes for you rivers." | Wayumdidkum bi-amwalin wabaneena wayajAAal lakum jannatin wayajAAal lakum anharan |
| 071:013 | "Why do you not seek God humbly." | Ma lakum la tarjoona lillahi waqaran |
| 071:014 | "While He created you in stages?" | Waqad khalaqakum atwaran |
| 071:015 | "Did you not see how God created seven skies in layers?" | Alam taraw kayfa khalaqa Allahu sabAAa samawatin tibaqan |
| 071:016 | "And He made the moon to illuminate in them, and He made the sun to be a lit flame?" | WajaAAala alqamara feehinna nooran wajaAAala alshshamsa sirajan |
| 071:017 | "And God made you grow from the Earth like plants." | WaAllahu anbatakum mina al-ardi nabatan |
| 071:018 | "Then He returns you to it, and He brings you out totally?" | Thumma yuAAeedukum feeha wayukhrijukum ikhrajan |
| 071:019 | "And God made the land for you as a plain." | WaAllahu jaAAala lakumu al-arda bisatan |
| 071:020 | "So that you may seek in it ways and paths?" | Litaslukoo minha subulan fijajan |

| 071:021 | Noah said: "My Lord, they have disobeyed me and have followed whose money and children only increased him in loss." | Qala noohun rabbi innahum AAasawnee waittabaAAoo man lam yazidhu maluhu wawaladuhu illa khasaran |
| 071:022 | And they plotted a great plotting. | Wamakaroo makran kubbaran |
| 071:023 | And they said: "Do not abandon your gods, do not abandon Destroyer, nor Night Group, nor Helper and Deterrer and Eagle." | Waqaloo la tatharunna alihatakum wala tatharunna waddan wala suwaAAan wala yaghootha wayaAAooqa wanasran |
| 071:024 | And they have misguided many, but We only increase the wicked in misguidance. | Waqad adalloo katheeran wala tazidi alththalimeena illa dalalan |
| 071:025 | For their sins they were drowned, then they were admitted to the Fire, and they could not find beside God any victor. | Mimma khatee-atihim oghriqoo faodkhiloo naran falam yajidoo lahum min dooni Allahi ansaran |
| 071:026 | And Noah said: "My Lord, do not leave on the Earth any of the rejecters at all." | Waqala noohun rabbi la tathar AAala al-ardi mina alkafireena dayyaran |
| 071:027 | "If you are to leave them, then they will misguide Your servants and they will only give birth to a wicked rejecter." | Innaka in tatharhum yudilloo AAibadaka wala yalidoo illa fajiran kaffaran |
| 071:028 | "My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my home as a believer, and to the believing men and believing women, and do not increase the wicked except in destruction." | Rabbi ighfir lee waliwalidayya waliman dakhala baytiya mu/minan walilmu/mineena waalmu/minati wala tazidi alththalimeena illa tabaran |
