She Stoops to Conquer

From Wikisource
She Stoops to Conquer (1773)
by Oliver Goldsmith

First published in 1773, this transcription is of a copy from that year. However, the publication is found in various states, owing to changes made during its printing. The compilation of the transcribed copy appears to be as follows, compared to a baseline copy (from the British Library, which is thought to be in the final form, [A]-O in fours. P two leaves). Signature A is variant 1, B to I (no J) are baseline, K is variant 1, L is variant 4, M is variant 3, and N to P are all variant 1. [Based on Seven XVIIIth Century Bibliographies (1968) by Iolo Aneurin Williams, pp. 153-161.]
