God bless our native land,
On this firm shore we stand
For Freedom’s right.
Let us arise in might,
Dispel the shades of night.
And banish them for light
And truth, we pray.

Send us thy truth and love,
Guide us to look above

For all we need.

From thee all mercies flow,
Teach us thy name to know,—

This hymn of praise we sing
To God, the mighty King,

Enthroned above.

May he our nation guide,
From every danger hide.
