The Rhine, Legends, Traditions, History

[edit]

At least one story was translated in Joseph Snowe's The Rhine, Legends, Traditions, History (two volumes, 1839). Many of the other stories there seem as if they're also from this book, but worth checking first. --YodinT 22:37, 1 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

It looks like he has cited many/most of the sources he was translating passages from, and this is the only instance I could find from the Grimms. It seems likely that many of these sources may have taken the stories from elsewhere, and could also have been reprinted by the Grimms, Büsching, Gottshalck, etc., but I haven't looked into this. --YodinT 10:29, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
