Notes: Source reports that "Forest F. C. issued its printed rules in 1861 and adopted the Cambridge Rules in full with a few special additions, viz:", followed by the list of rules given in the main article. From the context, it is clear that "the Cambridge Rules" is intended to refer to the Cambridge Rules of 1856. Presumably this was not intended absolutely literally, since the first rule of the Cambridge Rules states that the name of the club is "The University Foot Ball Club".
