The footnote [From Journal of Anthropological Institute.] indicates this is adapted from "Australian Folklore Stories" W. Dunlop and T. V. Holmes The Journal of the Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland Vol. 28, No. 1/2 (1899), pp. 22-34 (13 pages) which states it is from a collection made by W. Dunlop, via Connop L.
