A note at the header said "Translated by George Fyler Townsend (1887)", attributes it to Æsop, and matches the text at Page:Three hundred Aesop's fables (Townshend).djvu/107 (Townshend is my error when I uploaded the file). A note at An argosy of fables/Avianus, Abstemious, etc#176 says "Faernus, Fables, Vol. V, No. 20. Thomas James' translation." CYGNIS INSIGNIS 18:20, 26 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
