దాక daka, s. A pot, with wide mouth.

దాకా daka, adv. Until : as far as.

దాకొను dakonu, v. n. To approach. 2. To meet, or encounter. 3. To congeal.

దాఖలు dakhalu, s. A revenue term, which denotes an entry or insertion. 2. An arrival. దాఖలుచేయు dakhalucheyu, v. a- To enter దాఖలుఅవు dakhaluavu, To arrive; to be entered.

దాగర dagara, s. A large winnowing basket.

దాగలి dagali, s. An anvil.

దాగు dagu, v. n. To be hidden, or concealed ; to abscond, or disap- pear. దాచు clatsu, v. a. To hide, or conceal ; to secret.

దాచికొను dachikonu, v. comj). To hide, or conceal one's-self, or any thing for one's own advantage.

దాపించు dapintsu, v. Caus. To cause to hide, &c. దాగిలిమూత dagilimiita, s. Blinchnan's buff.

దాటు datu, s. A jump. v. a. To jump, or leap. 2. To pass, or cross over. 3. To copulate; as applied to cattle. 4. Togo beyond, or transgress.

దాడి dadi, s. A military expedition* incursion, irruption, or campaign, దాడిచేయు dadicheyi?, To prepare for battle. దాణా dana, s. Corn ; horse gram, &c.

దాత data, s. A generous, or liberal, person. దాతృత్వము datritwamu, s. Generosity, liberality.

దాతికఱ్ఱ datikarrra, s. The piece of wood, nsed to support that which a carpenter cuts.

దాది dadi, s. A nurse.

దానము danamu, 5. Donation. 2. A gift, or present. 3. The fluid which exudes from an elephant in rut.

దాపరమవు daparamavu, v. n. To bap- pen, or occur. 2. To be under the influence of misfortune.

దాపల dapala. adv. On the left side, or hand. దాపలి dapali, adj. Left.

దాపు dapu, 5. Protection, covering^ adj. Neighbouring, next. adv. Near. v. a. To set as precious stones.

దాపురము dapuramu, s. Concealed property; from దాగు dagu, q. v.

దామెనత్రాడు damenatradu,5. A long string, to tie cattle in a line-

దాయ daya, s. An enemy, or foe.

దారి dari, s. A way, road, or path. 2. Manner, mode. 3- Conduct, character. 4. In composition, it is affixed, to denote, a possessor.

దారువు, దారు daruvu, daru, s. Wood, timber.

దాలి dali, s. A heap of dung cakes used as fuel, piled up, in order to cook any thing.

దాళి dali, s. vSplit pulse.

దాళు dalu, s. A tinge, or slight shade, of any colour.

దాళువ daluva, s. The cheek, or jaw-

దాష్టీకము dashtikamu, s. Power, au- thority. 2. blustering.

దాసరి dasari, s. An individual of that peculiar caste of Hindoos, worshipping Vishnu exclusively, who go about begging alms, and often dance in a frantic manner, with fire in their hands.

దాసరిపాము dasaripamu, a. A very large species of snake. దాసి dasi, s. A female per v ant, or slave. 2. A prostitute.

దాసుడు dasudu, s. A male slave, or servant. 2. A fisherman. దాస్యము dasyamu, s. Slavery.

దాహము dahamu, s. Thirst 2. Drink. 3. Ardent desire. దాహమవు, దాహముగొను dahamavu, dahamugonu, To be thirsty. దాహముయిచ్చు dahamuyitstsu. To give drink.

దాక్షిణ్యము dakshiriyamu, s. Pity, compassion, complaisance. 2. Concord, harmony, agreement. 3. Partiality.
