Swanwick's translations of Aeschylus' Oresteia were first published in 1865 under the title The Agamemnon, Choephori, and Eumenides of Aeschylus, translated into English verse. A favorable reception prompted Swanwick to translate and publish the remaining four Aeschylean plays shortly thereafter. Subsequent editions collected her translations of all seven plays under the title The Dramas of Aeschylus. The edition below is the fourth edition, printed in 1886, and was included as part of the series Bohn's Classical Library.
