MELDON, Philip Albert, Major R.F.A. Educ. Stonyhurst and Beaumont, and Dublin University (B.A., 1900); served throughout last S. African War, and late European War, mentioned in despatches, awarded D.S.O., thrice wounded: adjutant 3rd London Brigade R.F.A. (T), 1908-11; Professor of Artillery and Tactics at R. Mil. Coll., Kingston, Canada, 1913 and 14. Represented Ireland at football and cricket: serving on Military Control Commission in Germany since 1918; eldest son of Sir Albert Meldon, D.L., of Vevay House, Bray, Co. Wicklow. Clubs: Naval and Military, 94 Piccadilly, London; and Junior Naval and Military 96 Piccadilly, London.
