Re: Ordering committees to continue performing duties

Whereas the Announcement of the Council for Democratic Reform No 3 dated 19 September 2549 BE has brought an end to the Council of Ministers, resulting in disbandment of the committees established by the Council of Ministers, Prime Minister, or responsible Ministers, save those established by legal provisions, it is therefore ordered as follows so that the work of those committees would not be interrupted: The aforesaid committees shall remain in existence and continue to perform the remaining duties. But if the public entity which proposed the establishment of any committee finds it appropriate to abolish or change such committee, the permanent secretary to the ministry concerned shall request a ruling from the Head of the Council for Democratic Reform. In this respect, the committees presided over by the Prime Minister shall be presided over by the Head of the Council for Democratic Reform or person authorised by the Head of the Council for Democratic Reform, whilst the committees presided over by a Deputy Prime Minister shall become presided over by the Deputy Head of the Council for Democratic Reform or person authorised by the Deputy Head of the Council for Democratic Reform.

This Announcement shall take effect until a Council of Ministers is established to administer of the State.
