Two or three people gather in a room to read and discuss, calling it the "Cock-Crow Society". Then they take what they read and discuss, using lead, paper and ink to publish it outside, naming it the Huiminglu (Records of the Cock-Crow Society). In the universe, it is a mere dust, not something that dares to be listed in the forest of the world's newspapers and magazines. Despite this, the truth of the world has no attributes such as distance and size, but those who are not blinded by things can get it. Therefore, although the power of two or three people is small, if they can take the correct truth as the standard, not sieve in the doctrine of one school, not confined to the glimpse of one party, independent and impartial, in order to reach our conscience on the right and wrong, then their words are often representative of the truth, and will be everyone's words, this is the so-called "voice of the common people".
Since Huiminglu refers to itself as the voice of the common people, it should be the organ of the common people. Today, the happiness of the common people has been taken away from the authority, and they have been trapped in a painful, humiliating, and inexplicable situation. The reason for this is the poor organization of society. If we want to save them, we must fundamentally carry out a world revolution, and destroy all the powers of the present society, and transform it into a new society filled with right and truth, then the true happiness of our common people will be possible. All the texts listed in this magazine follow this purpose, and isn't this a loud and beautiful voice of the common people?
We now venture to document the purposes of our journal in general terms as follows:

Besides, all newly invented sciences, which are the mother of life improvement and human evolution, can also be included. In the hope of language unification, the "Esperanto Department" has been set up to convey Esperanto to China on the one hand, and to disseminate the truth about Chinese society to the whole world on the other. In addition, documents are collected in both Esperanto and Chinese, and translated into both languages, bringing the two civilizations closer together, and leading the civilians of East Asia and the world to join hands in the sacred cause of social revolution.
