- In the name of the great life.
- You are a brightly polished treasure, you banner,
- you are a mirror through whose shine the kings shine.
- The kings shine by its brilliance,
- and the crowns flash by it.
- The crowns shine through its brilliance,
- and the springs wrap themselves in its radiance.
- The springs, the shiners, and the mirrors worship the great crown,
- praising it and saying to it:
- "Blessed be this your form.
- We want to see you
- and be raised up with you in your Škīnā.
- With you we want to be erected in your Škīnā,
- to be united with you completely".
Commentary[edit]
- This song of the loosening of the crown: when you do the prayer on Sunday, before you read "Arise, arise, ye men of tried righteousness" read this song.
- This collection of songs and hymns, the Responsion of the ...., the songs of the banner and the song of the loosening of the crown was strung together and came about in the name of the first life, in the sign of Manda d-Haije and in the name of Hibil, Šitil and Anōš (praised be their name in the great place, in the house of perfection) on Wednesday, the ninth of the month of Darwānājē, in a Tuesday year, the year 936, as the Arabs have assumed. The world will perish upon them, and Mandā d-Haijē will lift away the wrath of the wicked from the great tribe of souls.
