XVII.
Trembling, trembling hasten away
all you evil, narrow, angry spirits.
Trembling, move away, shrink and disappear
before the shine and the light of Manda d-Haijē,
Piriawis-Zīwā and Piriafil-Malākhā
strengthened the limbs of my body.
I descend before these shining, resplendent souls of life,
Šilmai and Nidbai fly near, approach, come near.
Be you witnesses to these souls
who descend to the Jordan and are baptized.
You 4 Uthras, sons of light, Rhum-Hai, Īn-Hai, Šum-Hai, Zamar-Hai,
be you witnesses to me on the great day of exit.
You great Jordan of life,
I invoke and swear you by the treasure of light,
the great rest and support of life,
grant no place to the fiends
against these souls descending into you.
Heal them in the name of the alien life from the [light] worlds.
Life stands firm in its Škīnā,
life is victorious.
