Prayer of the Jordan

3807037Mandaïsche Liturgien — Prayer 101920Mark Lidzbarski
X.
On the day that they will consecrate the Jordan to Sām-Smīr,
the great, pure splendor of the first life,
from which Bihrām and Rām the Great of Life were drawn,
144,000 myriad Uthras, sons of light, went with him.

They went down to the Jordan,
and he baptized them,
then they went up to its bank,
and he placed them there.
He granted them of the praise
and the greatness that were with him.

And the life is victorious.
