XC.
In the name of the great life
be glorified the noble light.
A disciple am I, a new one
I who went to the bank of the Jordan.
My name I took on my head,
in my heart I took my mark.
My sign was not the fire,
not that anointed Christ.
My sign is the Jordan of living waters,
to which no one is a match.
He chooses 1 out of 1,000,
out of 2,000 he chooses 2.
He makes them merchants,
who trade in the Tibil.
They trade with wages and alms,
therefore they shine more than the sun and the moon.
I, to the tribe of the souls
I came, they sent and sent me.
Some bought my goods,
Some wrapped themselves up and lay down.
Some bought my goods,
then his eyes filled with light.
His eyes filled with light,
and he sees the great in the house of perfection.
Many a man did not buy my merchandise,
but went, wrapped themselves and lay down.
They were blind and did not see,
their ears were stopped up, and they did not hear.
Their heart was not awakened to them,
to behold the great things in the house of perfection.
When they were called and they did not answer,
who shall answer them when they call?
Since they were given and they did not accept it,
who shall give them when they ask for it?
They hated the way of life
and loved the abode, the seat of the wicked.
They loved the abode, the seat of the wicked,
yes, now they shall be bound in the abode of the wicked.
Their possessions, their goods
they wrapped for themselves in the pocket of their robe.
When they want to lift up their heads
they shall be cast down to the gates of darkness.
I call out to my chosen ones,
my plants, who stood by the Jordan.
I say to them:
"My sons, [walk] in my way,
do not waver from the dam.
He who wavers from the dam,
lean on the way-stone.
He who wavers from both
sinks into the end of the world".
You were victorious, Mandā d-Haijē,
Good One, you who establish your friends.
We, who praise our Herm,
you will pardon our sins and transgressions.
Life is upheld and is victorious,
and victorious is the man who has gone here.
