Translation:Shulchan Aruch/Orach Chaim/292
Appearance
292: The Law of the Shabbos Afternoon Service. Contains 2 seifim.
1 During Minchah, [we say Ashre; Uva l'Zion; And I, my prayer, etc.] (Tur), we take out a Torah scroll and read three men ten verses from the coming parshah. And even when Yom Tov falls to be on Shabbat, we read the coming parshah and not the one of Yom Tov.
2 We say "Your Righteousness". And if a day falls on it, that if it were a weekday, they would not say Tachanun on it at Minchah, we do not say "Your Righteousness". Gloss: And the custom is not to establish a study session between the Afternoon Service and the Evening Service (Tur; Zohar Terumah p. 279), but we say Pirkei Avot in the Summer, and Song of Ascents in the winter, each place according to its custom.
