Seif 2 – If her husband is in town, it is a commandment to dunk in its [proper] time so that she will not abrogate being fruitful and multiplying for even one night. {Rema: She is permitted to dunk on Shabbat if she cannot dunk before that.}

Seif 3 – She is forbidden to dunk during the day on the seventh day; and even if she is waited to dunk until the 8th or 9th day, she is not permitted to dunk during the day, because of accustoming her daughter (i.e., her daughter and those close to her will emulate the mother’s practice, and she will immerse during the day like her, but she will not discern that her mother did so after the seventh day, and not on the seventh day)..{Rema: But the brides who dunk before the wedding, they may dunk during the day – for behold! – they are not entering in to the house of the groom until the evening, but after the wedding the rule is the same as for all women.}

Seif 4 – Where there is compulsion, for example that she fears dunking at night because of cold or fear of brigands and the like or when the gates of the city are locked, she may dunk on the eighth day while it is still day, but on the seventh day she may not dunk while it is still day even though there is compulsion.
