This translation is a synthesis of the German and French texts already existing on Wikisource as I couldn't find any English version online. I noticed that the German text is the most complete; the French has skipped parts that some editor apparently found uninteresting or non-essential. Article 13, the epilogue and the introduction are missing in their entirety, as well as all lists of military and monetary contributions.
Where the German and French texts overlapped, they never really contradicted each other, but some phrases slightly differed in meaning, often just by having one or two words more than the other languages, in which case I decided to translate the longer version to preserve as much information as possible.
I've not always been consistent on my translation of certain words, I may have to go over to standardise it better. A complicating factor is that the French and German texts themselves are often inconsistent. As I regard the German text to be the most reliable, I tried to follow it's wording most of the time; as I am Dutch myself, I could be slightly biased as German vocabulary is close to Dutch. The French vocabulary is often closer to modern English, however, and I sometimes favoured it rather than a literal translation of the German.
A few examples: Eidsgenossenschaft, Bundesverein confédération > Confederacy; eidsgenössischen, fédéral > Confederate; Bundesvertrag, pacte fédéral > Federal Treaty; gegenwärtigen Bundnis > present Federal Treaty; Kantone, Orte, Stände, cantons > cantons; Tagsatzung, Diète > Tagsatzung (following English Wikipedia I decided not to translate it as Diet).
