Adopted unanimously by the Security Council at its 2084th meeting, on 17 August 1978

The Security Council,

Having examined the application of Solomon Islands [1] for admission to the United Nations,

Recommends to the General Assembly that Solomon Islands be admitted to membership in the United Nations.
