I'm Andrew Gray. From May 2012 onwards, I will be the Wikipedian in Residence at the British Library in London - see the project page for details. Please do get in touch if there's anything I can help you with.

My professional background is as a librarian; I have an MSc in information and library sciences, and have worked as a professional librarian in southern England since 2006. I joined the English Wikipedia in October 2004, while I was a postgraduate, became an administrator a year later, in late 2005, and have worked on handling OTRS queries (email correspondence for WMF) since early 2006.

I contributed a few pieces to Wikisource under an old account in 2006-7.

British Library material[edit]

The British Library has recently been looking at releasing a collection of scanned/OCRed texts produced as part of an external partnership some years ago. I've been experimenting with putting some of these on Wikisource:

A Journey in Khorassan[edit]

Proofreading here: ready for validation.

Gujarat and the Gujaratis[edit]

Advice to Officers in India[edit]
