MiniPane user script

This is a user script to add some functions to add a (slightly) less eye-crossing proofreading pane

Installation[edit]

Install using the loader below:

mw.loader.load('//en.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=User:Inductiveload/MiniPane.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript');

Use[edit]

The script adds a smaller secondary image page that follows your mouse, so it's always near the proofreading location, avoiding large saccades.

Control of the image is similar to the main image but there are extra keypresses from within the main edit box (note for the numpad keys, numlock should be off):

  • Shift+Numpad2/4/6/8: pan
  • Shift+Numpad3/9: image page up/down
  • Numpad+/-: zoom
  • Shift+Enter: scroll text box and image down about a line
  • Ctrl+Enter: scroll text box and image up about a line

Shift+Scroll scrolls the image vertically. Zoom is done with Ctrl+Scroll and side-scrolling with Ctrl+Shift+Scroll in the text entry.

Ctrl+Click on the normal ProofreadPage image centres the MiniPane at that location.

The page position persists across pages loads, and the zoom and horizontal position position is kept for other pages in the same index.
