Use of the titles Domestic Encyclopædia is strictly to acknowledge titles used to refer to the edition of 1802 which has gone into the public domain in the United States due to the expiration of its copyright there. Any reference to this material should explicitly note the original date of publication.
Inaccuracies[edit]
The articles of the 1802 edition of Domestic Encyclopædia were based upon the information available to the editors and contributors at the time of their original publication in the early 19th century. Changing circumstances and more recent research may have rendered this information obsolete or revealed it to be inaccurate. In addition, lapses from neutrality of the contributors and editors and their political or social attitudes can introduce bias to the articles.
