Works by the author[edit]

How are different editions of works with the same title (by the same author) handled? Stringybark (talk) 21:01, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Use {{versions}} in the mainspace. In the Author: pagespace use indenting.

We do apply some caution when considering the hosting of multiple editions of the same work. If an edition is just a reprint (or is the American edition of a British publication) then there is no need to list it or host it. However, if there are significant differences between editions then a separate listing and hosting is welcome. For example: we should host both versions of Great Expectations as the endings are quite different. But hosting both versions of Psmith in the City is not needed as they were published simultaneously in London and New York and are essentially the same edition. Authority control[edit]

I can't find any information on the template "authority control" on this page. Is this template necessary? Dick Bos (talk) 09:21, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

1) Why this page is lock? 2) Minister Work can be published 3) Section8.When a writing is a textbook of which the composition has been funded by the Government, the rights of author in such writing rest with the Government always.2403:6200:89A7:D762:9A7:68E6:7AD6:D3A 19:41, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The above written text was moved here from the Help page. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 19:51, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

We have had multiple abuses on that page, including the addition of encyclopedic descriptions (which do not belong here) and works that are under copyright and so cannot be hosted on Wikisource. --EncycloPetey (talk) 21:51, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
