Anonymous Dissident[edit]

2008-09 admin[edit]

AD has been active around Wikisource since May 2008, and has over 900 edits; most of these to the main namespace. He's a regular participant around WS:PD and WS:S, and would be able to help out further in such areas with admin tools. He's also added a great deal of poetry to Wikisource, and has helped clean up other texts, and the like, so he's got an understanding of how things work on the ground. AD has a good knowledge of copyright and is a Commons admin, so he could help out with image related stuff here to. Furthermore, he's an admin on EnWP and Meta, so he's been around for a while in general. He's civil, helpful, collaborative, and hard working. I think he'd make a good admin. Candidate's acceptance: Sure, I'll go for it. I would hope the community will review me honestly and constructively, and use this forum to express their thoughts on my activity here. I here accept with much gratitude to my nominator, who has written a splendid statement. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 07:51, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Support I'm fairly active on multiple projects, and have run into AD damn near everywhere. No concerns about his adminship here, or anywhere else. EVula // talk // 19:44, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
  • Support, AD is keen and capable, and all the other nice things Giggy has accused him of. John Vandenberg (chat) 15:57, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

2010-11 confirmation (failed)[edit]

Resignation

http://en.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=User:Anonymous_Dissident&oldid=1805183

The following discussion is closed: resigned March 2010
administrator since 2008-09 (see previous discussions), currently active (contributions, logs, crosswiki). Anonymous Dissident will be reconfirmed automatically unless at least three established users oppose, which will trigger an election with decision by simple majority.
  • Anonymous Dissident is not a current administrator. According to meta:User:Anonymous Dissident/Matrix, "I have resigned my administrative positions on all wikis except the English Wikipedia" as a March this year. Apparently we didn't notice, and no-one bothered to let us know. Hesperian 12:35, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
  • He had told it to us on his user’s page on March 5th, and that he will come back in the future. --Zyephyrus (talk) 17:47, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
  • I suggest that we leave things as they are at present but his powers be restored as and when he requests.--Longfellow (talk) 20:20, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Agree with analysis above by Longfellow (talkcontribs). -- Cirt (talk) 00:23, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Concur, with above. No objection to restoring privileges on request. Jeepday (talk) 17:33, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
