ABLON. A place on the Atlantic seaboard of the Northern Continent, east of the hill Cumorah. The Lord in a dream warned Omer, king of the Jaredites, to flee from his native land, at the time his kingdom was overthrown by Akish and his friends. This he did, and after a long journey settled at Ablon. Nimrah, a son of Akish, with a number of adherents, afterwards joined Omer at Ablon. After many years Omer was restored to his kingdom and returned to his own land.
