Frank James Allen
(1854–1942)

Studied at University of Cambridge (St. John's College). Professor of Physiology at Mason University College, Birmingham (1887-99). Chairman of the University of Cambridge Antiquarian Society (1913-30). Interests included biochemistry, music and church architecture. Capable of mirror-writing.
