Sources[edit]

The little volume owes a large proportion of its contents to the Convent of the Holy Child, St Leonard's on the Sea, Hastings; some pretty songs to the Convent of Sisters of Mercy, Kinsale; besides several new contributions from Sister M.J. and Sister Agnes, of the Convent of Charlesville.

The Editors also feel a pleasure in being allowed to add, that the poems of this collection, and also of the Catholic Sacred Songs, signed "Sister M. J." in the table of contents, are due to the talent and piety of a member of the Convent of Sisters of Mercy in Charleville, in the County of Cork.

Use of "Sister"[edit]

Although we don't generally use honorifics in page titles, I feel that since she is universally cited as "Sister M. J.", and since there really isn't much else to disambiguate on, the title "Sister M. J." is just as good as "M. J. (sister)" in this case. —Beleg Tâl (talk) 16:33, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
