EncycloPetey, how long do you think it will take you to *clean up* those images and then upload them? —William Maury Morris IITalk 09:36, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, first I'd have to learn how to clean up images. I haven't worked with images before, and hadn't intended to start anytime soon. I just don't have either the software or expertise. The best I can do for now is to prep the category, and locate all images in the work, so that some other person can process them. --EncycloPetey (talk) 20:58, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Some of the images for this book are in very bad shape due to the scanning process. I sometimes wonder if it would be best to contact the local library and get an inter-library loan of the books and scan them myself. I may do that for this book. —William Maury Morris IITalk 01:25, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's true in the DjVu, but that's an artifact of the process used to compress the file into a DjVu. If you look at the original source files on IA, there's usually a pre-compression form from which much cleaner images can be taken. --EncycloPetey (talk) 01:41, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I know and I do. winkWilliam Maury Morris IITalk 02:24, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
