Missing page?[edit]

Is there a page (or two) missing between the first page of the Preface by the Translator (9) and page viii (10)? Page viii begins with the end of a quote not started on the first page of the Translator's preface, making me think the numbering's off. --xensyriaT 14:07, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a hunt around for a replacement copy. All the 1861 Edinburgh copies are derived from the same scan with the two missing pages. The later American editions don't have the same Translator's Preface. I've put place-holders in the pagelist in the meantime. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 17:42, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
