Sixteen full-page illustrations in black and white by Arthur Rackham. There was a reprint of this book in 1899, by James Nisbet & Co., London, in the same binding, which is often mistaken for a first edition.

American Edition: Published the same year, 1897, and with the same binding and the same number of illustrations. Published by G.P. Putnam’s Sons, New York.
