American Edition: Bound in red cloth with a pictorial panel pasted on the cover, lettering on the panel in green. This edition was published by J. B. Lippincott Co., Philadelphia. There are the same number of illustrations as in the English edition.

Bound in vellum with gold lettering on the cover and spine; gilt top. 287 numbered pages, 7½×10¼. There are twelve full-page illustrations in colour and fifty-nine drawings in black and white; also pictorial end-papers in yellow and white. Limited to 525 copies, of which 500 are for sale, all signed by the artist.

There is a trade edition bound in rose-red cloth with pictorial stamping in gold on the cover and spine and gold lettering. This edition has the same number of illustrations and the same pictorial end-papers as the limited edition. Size of page, 7¼×9¾. There is also a binding in full morocco.

American Edition: This edition is the same as the English trade edition, and was published by David McKay Co., Philadelphia.

The book is dated on the reverse title page and is marked “First Edition.” There is a drawing on the title page and a frontispiece in black and white, both by Arthur Rackham. These are the only illustrations in the book.
