в конец completely. Он меня в конец замучил своими расспросами. He wore me out completely with his questioning.
в конце концов after all. Мне, в конце концов, всё равно. After all, it makes no difference to me.
на худой конец if worst comes to worst. На худой конец, мы сможем повести его в кино. If worst comes to worst, we can always take him to a movie.
под конец toward the end. Под конец у меня лопнуло терпение. I lost my patience toward the end.
