9. Huc's Travels in Tartary, Thibet, and China, in 1844, 5, & 6

Translated by W. Hazlitt.

Vol. I. (to be completed in two volumes), with numerous Daguerreotype illustrations, and a map of the above Countries. with the route of the Travellers MM. Huc and Gabet clearly indicated.

M. Huc is a most agreeable narrator. We give our readers a specimen of this really charming book, though it is one which most of our readers will be sure to purchaseand treasure for themselves. We could fill columns with amusing extracts, but it is best to send our readers to the book itself.—Daily News.

The National Illustrated Library, of which these Travels form the ninth volume, is without a rival in the beauty of its engravings and the extreme lowness of its price. The Travels in Tartary, Thibet, and China, form an extraordinary narrative of events which befel MM. Gabet and Huc, two Lazarists. The work was published in Paris by M. Huc, and is now translated for the benefit of the English public, by whom we hope it will be generally read.—York Herald.
