Ed. 6. c. 7. V. And for the better Underftanding of the Intent of this Statute, be it enacted by the. Authority afore-' faid, That in every one of thefe Forms, the Surplufage of Compafs that mall happen between any two next Meafures, being above the one, and under the other, in every kind, fhall be deemed, allowed and taken to be for and to the Benefit of the Buyer, and not otherwife to be computable. The Compafs of VI. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That every Billet named a Single, {hall contain in Compafs, being round-bodied, feven Inches arid an Half of Affize, and no Singles ro be made or marked out of cleft Wood : (2) And every Billet marked one, .commonly called aCaft, to contain in Compafs about eleven Inches of Affile, being round; and being half-round, to contain in Compafs thirteen 9 A'nni/c. 15". Inches of Affize about; and being quarter-cleft, to contrin in Compafs about, twelve Inches and an Half: 1 (3) And every Billet marked two, commonly called two Caft, to contain in Compafs about, being round, fixteen Inches of Affize ; and being hilf-round, to contain in Compafs about nineteen Inches of Affize ; and being of quarter-cleft, to contain in Compafs about, eighteen Inches and an Half of Affize : (4) And in all other Forms or Manner of cleaving of Billet to be hereafter marked and fold for Billets, which will not admit the/ormer Forms or Manner of cleaving, nor any of them, and- touching the Length of all the faid Billets, to obferve the Letter of the faid Statute of Anno 7 Ed. 6. c. 7. ' of his Heirs and Succeffors, of his County Palatine of Chejier, for the Time being, or before the Deputy The Effeift of ' or Lieutenant Juftice for the Time being, of any Lands, Tenements or other Hereditaments, lying and the Statute of t being within the faid County Palatine of Chefter, which fhould be openly read and proclaimed in fuch c t.%.
